Workplace Practice
Alongside what you have discovered so far, I also love to unwind with other practices grounded in nature (re)connection. These are available as standalone workshops, or as part of weekly programmes where we get the chance to explore more. These are all valuable as a way into a calmer mind, a more regulated nervous system, and a happier soul!
Nature journaling
We are a part of nature, not separate to it. Nature journals have become a way to explore and connect through written word or drawings. I take this approach one step further to add a personal journaling element so that it encompasses all of nature. What we experience, feel, notice within ourselves. And what we witness, explore and feel inspired by in the outer nature.
In a typical Nature journaling workshop, I will offer prompts for self-reflection and connection to the natural space we are in, which will be recorded within them. There will often be a small element of observation and ID of flora or fauna but mostly reflecting on what we notice when we slow down. The journals will become truly unique to you, and filled with sketches, doodles, brainstorms, poetry, pressed flowers, leaf rubbings, photos, prose….however you choose to make your mark!

Nature crafts
The possibilities are endless here! However, I am particularly drawn to botanical ink making, crafting nature wall hangings and eco printing. As ever the emphasis is on foraging for items found in my local green and blue spaces – not taking too much and not disturbing an ecosystem as a result. If you join me for a workshop we will walk the land together – for materials to be used in our creations, as well as to gain inspiration and to give thanks to the bountiful Mother Earth.
Together we will explore the colours found within the natural world that we can capture and use for art, from Oak Galls to onion skins to Elderberries! Or we will collect treasures from the wild that are calling out to be a part of your home, think feathers, nuts, seed heads, flowers, or shells! Or perhaps we will create prints of leaves, capturing their exquisite texture and detail, producing a portrait or combining them into a collage.
I am not a professional artist, and I don’t expect you to be one! I don’t care what you produce as a final piece of art, or if you even do finish it! The joy can be found in letting go of the need to be perfect, working with our hands, and dropping into the space of creation as opposed to competition or comparison. (I appreciate this is a challenge for many of us, but it’s invaluable if you can meet me there!).

Bushcraft
I can offer introductory Bushcraft skills ie fire lighting, campfire cooking and whittling. Another fun and varied way into a wilder way of life steeped in history, culture and ancestral relationship with the rest of nature.
I am open to collaborations and workshop offerings based on the seasonal, individual passions, festival themes or project outcomes. Get in touch to explore more!
